Description
From Maipo Valley’s Viña Chocalán estate, this Syrah is one of the best coming out of Chile. The vineyards benefit from the cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean, and, here, the estate’s Origen Syrah is livened up by Viognier which gives it a silky texture and perfumed aromatic lift. It’s an elegant, modern wine with lots of dark fruit along with a hint of smoke and black pepper. A top Chilean red.Tasting Note

Viña Chocalán
Viña Chocalán was founded by Guillermo Toro in Chile’s Maipo Valley in 1998. The company’s 340 hectare estate is still run by the Toro family, headed by Aida Toro Harnecker.
