Description

Penfolds Max’s Chardonnay is a tribute to former Chief Winemaker Max Schubert, who cemented the winery's reputation between 1948-1975. The grapes are from the cooler climate Adelaide Hills, and a level of acidity gives the wine a certain elegance and freshness. It's a great introduction to one of Australia’s top wineries.

Tasting Note

This is a great introduction to Penfolds white wines and very much in the modern Australian style, beautifully balancing pronounced ripe pear and nectarine fruit flavours, subtle toasty oak and crisp, refreshing acidity.
