Description
This superb Rioja Gran Reserva comes from Bodegas Riojanas, one of Spain’s most renowned wineries. Made with 100% Tempranillo grapes grown in the prized vineyards of La Rioja Alta, it’s aged for 24-30 months in oak barrels followed by an additional 36 months in bottle. The result of such time, care and expertise is a wine that is wonderfully complex and full of rich fruit notes and warming spice. It’s an absolutely perfect red for a special occasion or to give as a gift.One of our long-time partners, Bodegas Riojanas has a stellar reputation for crafting excellent wines and winemaker Emilio Sojo Nalda was named Best Winemaker of Rioja in The Drinks Business magazine’s The Master Winemaker 100 (2023).

Multi-layered with notes of red and black fruit, vanilla, spice and savoury elements from the oak ageing, all underpinned by graceful balancing acidity.
