Description

Owned and run by an Irish-Australian couple in the Languedoc, Domaine la Sarabande makes an excellent range of boutique Faugères wines. Accessible and versatile, this one features dark fruits and a lovely floral character. The wine finishes dry and, along with the well-balanced fruit profile, there’s that herbal garrigue character typical of the best Languedoc wines.

Tasting Note

With aromas of dark cherries and lifted glazed fruit characters Misterioso offers a very inviting nose. The palate is dominated by dark fruits but there is also an attractive strawberry and floral character, combined with fine grippy tannins.

Domaine La Sarabande
Domaine La Sarabande
Languedoc, France Domaine La Sarabande

Domaine La Sarabande was established by Irishwoman, Isla Gordon, and her Australian husband Paul, in France's Faugères in 2009.  They have rejuvenated several vineyards over the last years, amazed to see how the vines and the earth react when they are treated organically and by hand. Their desire is to increase their land holdings so that they can breathe life back into the old vines of the Languedoc-Rousillon.
