California is the most important wine producing state in America, accounting for over 80% of the entire wine production of the US. To help understand this large and diverse region, we were delighted to explore some of California’s finest wine regions, from cool coastal mountain ridges to benchland soils, with Master Sommelier Dimitri Mesnard of Jackson Family Wines. Dimitri joined O’Briens Wine Director Lynne Coyle MW for a deep dive into the vineyards, grapes, microclimates and wines of these fantastic vineyards.The evening was a great success, so for any customers who could not join us on the night, we recorded the tasting and have a limited number of the tasting cases, with the wines tasted on the night, for sale exclusively on our website.
